Bad: Run Defense

We all know that the Kansas City Chiefs have struggled to stop the run this season, and that continued on Sunday against the Falcons.

While the individual stats for the Falcons running backs don’t look that bad, they combined for 128 rushing yards off of 30 carries. Devonta Freeman had 56 yards off of 15 carries, Tevin Coleman had 12 carries for 49 yards, and Matt Ryan got in on the action too with 23 yards off of three carries.

I’ll be honest here – I expected the run defense to look much worse on Sunday, so I really wasn’t that upset with this performance. It still wasn’t great though, and that’s why it’s in the bad for this weekend’s game.
