Call me a Negative Nancy, but I just don’t see a way in which the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Before the season started and I made my predictions (which you can read by clicking on the link below), I had this game penciled in as a win. That was before I saw how explosive the Atlanta Falcons are on offense.

For one, the KC Chiefs are going to have to attempt to stop them and their defense has been prone to surrendering big plays. Two, can Smith and his offense keep up in a potential shootout? I don’t think that they can.

While every game obviously matters, the Chiefs might catch themselves looking ahead just a bit, as the Raiders loom on a short week for Thursday Night Football. I’m not saying the Chiefs won’t play their hardest, but there’s definitely a chance that guys like Ford and Maclin sit this game out so that they can be better rested for Thursday evening.

Call me crazy or whatever you want, but I’m thinking this is a bad game for Kansas City. That could be due to me watching the Chiefs get blown out frequently throughout my life, but whatever the case may be, I’m not feeling confident.

What do you think, Chiefs Kingdom? Do the Chiefs have a decent shot to win this game or are you sailing the white flag already?
