Fantasy Football: Five Kansas City Chiefs To Play Vs Atlanta Falcons
By Ben Almquist
Chiefs Defense/Special Teams
Projection: 5 Sacks, 1 INT, 2 FF and >25 points; 1 PR for TD
The Kansas City Chiefs defense is in for a fight this week, and Fantasy Football owners are right to be wary. However, the Chiefs match up very well against the Falcons offense. The key here will be KC’s ability to get into the backfield, which I don’t see as being much of a problem. Justin Houston destroyed Denver last week, and Atlanta isn’t much better at protecting their quarterback.
Another key here is that the Falcons strength of Matt Ryan to Julio Jones works best on the right side. That’s where Marcus Peters will be lurking. That means some pressure could lead to a ball or two that are prime for a pick. I’m also calling for another punt return for a touchdown this week. Tyreek Hill has figured things out, and the Falcons have a shoddy punt team that are prime to give up a big one.
The Chiefs defense belongs on your Fantasy Football roster. There is no excuse for benching them. Even if KC doesn’t have a big day, they should still be able to put up a few points for you. I don’t like them as much as a DFS play, but you could still get a good value there. The BYE week is behind this unit, so keep them in play.
