Bad: Offensive Line

This will be a short, but important one.

The Kansas City Chiefs rely on their offensive line to open up holes in the run game (not being done) and to protect Alex Smith (not being done). Neither of those happened on Sunday and it was frustrating.

Smith was sacked six times (I believe that’s a season high or at least tied for a season high) and Von Miller accounted for three of those sacks. He was crushing the line as often as he could and at times was even left unblocked! Yeah, not blocking the Super Bowl MVP from a season ago… That sounds like a great idea!

John Dorsey went out and signed Mitchell Schwartz to a five-year deal because the guy handled Miller with ease last year as a member of the Browns. I know Schwartz is playing through an injury and that not all six sacks were his fault, but come on, line… DO BETTER.
