Bad: Running Game

Where has the running game been the last few weeks? If you find it, let the authorities know, please.

For what it’s worth, Kansas City tried running the football this week, which couldn’t be said in weeks prior. Spencer Ware had 17 carries for only 64 yards on the evening. He averaged 3.8 yards a carry against one of the league’s worst run defenses.

Simply put – the Kansas City Chiefs are not running the football well, and that’s a problem.

Behind Ware, no one could do anything. Charcandrick West has been a huge disappointment this season, only accounting for eight yards on three carries.

Kansas City used to be known for their ability to run the football and they’re definitely not known for that anymore. They only had 83 yards rushing on the ground and had it not been for Hill’s jet sweep, wouldn’t have had a touchdown to show off.

Simply put – the Kansas City Chiefs are not running the football well, and that’s a problem.

With a quarterback not prone to throw down the field, you’ve got to rely on your run game to make big plays and the Chiefs haven’t had luck with that.

They keep winning though, so I don’t know what else to say on the matter. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know anything anymore when it comes to the Chiefs.
