Good: Special Teams

Hallelujah! The special teams had themselves a game on Sunday and thank the Lord they did because the offense was doing diddly squat before that final drive in regulation.

First, we mentioned the Tyreek Hill kick return for 86 yards to the house. That put Kansas City up 9-0 on the night.

In the second half, Jordan Norwood went to field a punt and muffed it. James Winchester then recovered it, and that was a special moment considering what the guy has been through the last few weeks.

Lastly, Cairo Santos made both field goals asked of him in overtime, including the game-winner that for a moment didn’t look like a game-winner. Did anyone else nearly pee their pants when they saw it hit the bar? Just me? Okay. I’ll own that.

The special teams unit helped Kansas City win the game on Sunday and you can’t put a price on that.
