Which Secondary Comes Out On Top?

A major reason why the Kansas City Chiefs lost last week was because the secondary was unable to get the team off the field on third downs. That was due, almost entirely, to the absence of star corner Marcus Peters. Peters looks like he will be back this week, which means the Chiefs secondary should get a huge boost.

Where the Chiefs secondary truly excels is in their ability to create turnovers. Again, that is largely due to Marcus Peters. That is a solid advantage this week as Denver quarterback Trevor Siemian has thrown four picks over his last three games. That has happened against secondaries nowhere near as talented as the Chiefs.

On the other side of the field, the Broncos also have a talented secondary. Part of the reason why the Denver defense is so successful is because they are able to trust their corners on their own. The safeties for the Broncos are also quality playmakers. Whichever secondary has the biggest day on Sunday could absolutely decide the outcome of the game.
