Pound The Ball

The Kansas City Chiefs have to get back to running the ball. For some reason, the Chiefs have not utilized the strength of their offense to its full potential. In recent years, the Kansas City offense has been based on ball control that revolves around running the ball. However, that has not been the case this year and there has been no explanation given.

Granted, the Chiefs are without star running back Jamaal Charles. That would be enough to make most teams think twice about running the ball. However, the Chiefs have proven that they have a very talented stable of backs with Spencer Ware, Charcandrick West, and Knile Davis. All three of them have at least one big game under their belt.

It seems as though the Chiefs are out-thinking themselves. Rather than controlling the tempo of the game by running the ball, KC is playing into their opponents’ hands by getting our of their element. The Broncos are not a good defense when it comes to stopping the run. The Chiefs have to take advantage of that and put pressure on the Denver offense to score points.
