The Kansas City Chiefs have given their fans a lot to cheer about this season. What are some reasons that we should be thankful for our favorite football team?
At 7-3, the KC Chiefs have made the 2016 a memorable one so far. Of course, there’s a lot of football left to be played, but at the moment, things could be a whole lot worse for the Chiefs.
With Thanksgiving upon us, it’s time to take a look at the Kansas City Chiefs and what the fans have to be thankful for when rooting for them.
Peters is a Pro
Marcus Peters was Kansas City’s first round pick just a year ago. He was brought in to help take some pressure off of the secondary and at first, Chiefs fans weren’t sure what to expect from the young cornerback.
Peters had been kicked off of his college team due to attitude issues, but he made his presence known right away for the Chiefs.
On his very first pro snap of the regular season, Peters picked off Brian Hoyer and showed that he was worth the first round selection.
Peters had nine total interceptions in 2015 and this season has five to his name in ten games. Peters probably would have more picks, but opposing quarterbacks appear to be throwing his way less and less because they know what the kid is capable of doing.
Chiefs fans should be thankful for Marcus Peters because the kid can flat out play. That forced fumble he had against Carolina was absolutely huge and you don’t see many second year players making those kind of plays. He’s one of a kind for sure.
