K-State football has given their fans a lot to cheer about throughout their recent history. What things should fans be the most thankful for this year?
Kansas State football is currently sitting at 6-4 on the season. This season hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been a breath of fresh air from last year’s injury-riddled and poor performances week after week.
With Thanksgiving upon us, let’s take a look at some reasons why K-State football fans should be thankful for their team this holiday season.
Bill Snyder
One of the easiest answers as to why Kansas State has been so successful is Bill Snyder. Since Snyder took the reigns on the team (again) in 2009, the Wildcats have been a relevant team in the Big 12.
Snyder’s overall record while coaching the Cats is 199-105-1 and that spans back to 1989, his first season with Kansas State.
Snyder is 77 years old yet still runs the team like he’s a young gun. He always likes to have a run-heavy offense and a shutdown defense and that has been his recipe for success while coaching this team.
The coaching carousel can be quite crazy, especially in college football, and K-State fans should be thankful for Snyder because he brings stability to this program.
