Kansas City Chiefs fans knew that it would be a tough day with Kenneth Acker filling in for the injured Marcus Peters. However, I don’t think anyone realized just how easy it would be for Jameis Winston to pick on him. Acker did not have a very good day, constantly giving up third down conversions.

The Buccaneers had very little trouble moving the ball all day, and a major part of that was converting big third down plays. Unfortunately, Kenneth Acker was a readily available target. That included the huge third down conversion on the Bucs final drive. Watching that play, Chiefs fans realized just how much Marcus Peters meant to the defense.

Chiefs fans also let out a collective groan when Acker failed to haul in an interception on a deep pass. He was in great position, but couldn’t come up with the ball. Tampa Bay would go on to kick another field goal on that drive. Again, we see that mistakes like that can be the difference in the game.
