Justin Houston’s Return
The moment that Kansas City Chiefs fans have been waiting for is upon us. Justin Houston appears set to finally make his return to the playing field. The move has been anticipated for a long time now as the Chiefs took their time in getting the superstar pass rusher back on the field. Now we are being told that it appears the wait is over.
However, Chiefs fans shouldn’t get too excited just yet. In all likelihood, Justin Houston will see pretty limited action in his first game back. Just as the Chiefs did with Jamaal Charles, they will look to ease Houston back into his starting role. It is far more important to have him healthy at the end of the season than for him to go 70 plays this week.
While Justin Houston will be limited, that doesn’t mean he won’t make an impact this week. The Buccaneers offensive line isn’t very good, and Houston will likely be brought on specifically to rush the passer. That should result in a couple of opportunities to make a big play in his debut. Meanwhile, we can still expect some fireworks from Dee Ford.
