The Kansas City Chiefs barely walked away with a victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a terrible game for both teams, but the Chiefs are lucky to have earned the W in this one.

What a dumpster fire we all witnessed at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

In a game where the Jacksonville Jaguars turned the ball over four times, the Chiefs still somehow barely escaped their own stadium with a victory. It was an atrocious game for Kansas City, but they won the game, and that’s all that matters.

The KC Chiefs are now 6-2 on the year and technically still tied for first in the AFC West (no other team in the division has had a bye yet). That’s important, as the team will now get Alex Smith back for their week ten match-up at Carolina.

Yeah, did I mention that Alex Smith didn’t play in this one? Well, he didn’t. Nick Foles did. Let’s start with his grade on this week’s report card.

D-. . QB. Kansas City Chiefs. NICK FOLES

When the Kansas City Chiefs inked Nick Foles to a one-year deal this offseason, we were all pretty happy with the move. He was going to be a solid backup plan should something happen to Smith.

After this weekend’s game, however, I don’t think any of us ever want Smith to miss a game (or a snap for that matter) ever again. Foles was hot garbage in this game.

After this horrific performance, I don’t want to hear anymore crap from the Alex Smith haters.

The ONLY reason I didn’t give Foles a failing grade in this week’s report card is because he was able to connect with Albert Wilson for a nice touchdown pass early in the game. That’s about all he was able to do though.

Foles went 20 for 33 for 169 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. It is worth noting, however, that had Jacksonville’s secondary not been idiotic, Foles could have been picked off several times.

After this horrific performance, I don’t want to hear anymore crap from the Alex Smith haters. Admit it. You ALL missed him this weekend.
