Missouri Tigers: Good, Bad and Ugly Vs South Carolina

Good: Pass Rush Found Its Mark
One of the important factors for this game was whether or not the Missouri Tigers pass rush would get to Gamecocks quarterback Jake Bentley. Well, the pass rush did get there. Mizzou sacked Bentley four times on Saturday, with Charles Harris leading the way with two. Unfortunately, the rest of the defense fell far short of that effort.
Over the last five games, the Mizzou defense simply has not shown itself. In reality, it is now fair to question whether it was ever really that good. Outside of the aforementioned Harris, it’s hard to get very excited about this group. There have been good flashes of talent at times, but nothing truly sustained.
Mizzou will have to go back to the drawing board, but at least the pass rush is there. Unfortunately, Charles Harris will not be at the school much longer. Hopefully his efforts will have helped some in recruiting more young pass rushers.
