Good: Tigers Running Game

Much as they have for most of the season, the Missouri Tigers ran the ball very well on Saturday.  Damarea Crockett and Ish Witter were virtually unstoppable with the ball in their hands.  Crockett racked up 82 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries while Witter had 80 yards and a touchdown on just 11.  That is good for a 6.3 and 7.3 yards per carry mark respectively.

It really has to make you wonder why this team doesn’t focus on running the ball more.  With two very good running backs on the roster, Mizzou should be able to dominate on the ground and control the clock.  Sure, there is more to it.  The defense needs to step up.  However, with the talent that the Tigers have, they need to gameplan better on offense.

Damarea Crockett should give Tigers fans some hope for the future.  As a freshman, he has a lot to offer the program moving forward.  Ish Witter, on the other hand, seems likely to be headed to the draft.  Hopefully the Tigers will be able to build off of their running game in the future.  It is a strength right now.
