Kansas City Chiefs: Five Things To Watch Vs Jacksonville Jaguars
By Ben Almquist
Can Nick Foles Lead The Offense?
Of course the one injury that stands out above the others for the Kansas City Chiefs is at quarterback. With Alex Smith taking the week off after a very rough game last week, the reigns are being handed to Nick Foles. Foles has a lot of history with Andy Reid, and should know this offense. However, Chiefs fans will wait with bated breath to see which Nick Foles shows up.
Nick Foles has shown he can be a very good NFL quarterback. Unfortunately, he has also shown that he can be a very poor NFL quarterback. Last week, many Chiefs fans were excited over his performance. Certainly the stat sheet looked pretty good. However, when watching the film, I found a few flaws that are worrisome. That was even true on some of his better plays.
The Jacksonville defense hasn’t played well in recent weeks, but does have some talented players. If Foles doesn’t play well, it could rally that Jags defense. Andy Reid needs to make sure that his quarterback is sharp, but may also want to have a backup gameplan ready to go.

The Kansas City Chiefs are definitely the better team this week. I’m saying that even with all the injuries right now. However, they should not take the Jaguars lightly. This is still a team with some talented players, even if they aren’t playing like it. The Chiefs need to keep winning to stay in the AFC West hunt. Unfortunately, neither the Broncos or Raiders have stumbled yet.
