Kansas City Chiefs: Fresh Hot Takes From Sunday Vs Colts

The Kansas City Chiefs rolled to an easy victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.  However, there were several moments in the game that got some major overreactions going.  We’ve got some of the best lined up here.

The Kansas City Chiefs flat out beat up on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.  It was a dominant performance that saw the Chiefs jump out on top and keep their foot on the gas all day.  Really, as far as their performance, you should be hard-pressed to find anything negative.  However, there were more than a few moments that got the hot takes going from Chiefs Kigdom.

For those of you who don’t know, a “hot take” is a large generalization or overreaction based on limited information.  Sports are one of the preeminent targets for hot takes, and the NFL especially.  Fans, analysts, and media talking heads can’t wait to weigh in on the big topics.  That, of course, leads to an awful lot of bad opinions being thrown across the internet.

Yes, you see them everywhere.  A big name player signs with a team, and suddenly they are Super Bowl favorites.  A quarterback throws an interception, and now he’s the worst to ever play the game.  Defense gives up a touchdown?  They can’t stop anybody.

This game was a beat down.  The Chiefs owned the Colts across the board from start to finish.  The only issues I saw on the field had next to nothing to do with the performance of the team.  However, Twitter was still working overtime.  The good news though is that most of the takes were more about the situations than the players.  Of course, we still got a few good ones out there.
