Potential Landing Spots for Morales – Number 2: New York Yankees

Whenever there’s a big free agent on the market, you have to expect that the New York Yankees are going to be a team vying for his affection.

While I wouldn’t be thrilled with seeing K-Mo head to the Bronx, no one can argue that this wouldn’t make sense for both sides.

Alex Rodriguez was New York’s designated hitter last year, but retired over the summer. He was struggling, which made sense as to why he retired, but then the Yankees were down a designated hitter.

When the Athletics released Billy Butler, the Yankees picked him up later on and he fared well, but I don’t believe he’ll be apart of their team in 2017 unless they pick up the rest of his contract.

That means the designated hitter needs addressed in New York, and Kendrys Morales could be the answer to all of the Yankees’ problems. They’d be able to offer him a hefty deal and he’d get a lot of playing time for the pinstripes.
