Well, a win is a win, and K-State football got the win in this game, albeit closer than we’d all have liked it to be.

Next up for the Kansas State Wildcats is a home game against the surging Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cowboys just knocked off the tenth ranked West Virginia Mountaineers and will be a challenge for K-State for sure.

This is a team that lost a “should have been” victory against Central Michigan early on in the year, but a BS call near the end of the game gave them an early season loss.

If Kansas State wants to win this game, they need to show up on every side of the ball. The offense played pretty well against Iowa State, but the defense wasn’t all that great. The defense is typically this team’s strength and if they’re not at full speed, it could spell trouble for the Cats.

The time of the KSU/OSU game hasn’t been announced yet, but it’ll be on ABC in one of the few primetime outings for the Wildcats so far this season. They need to show up to Manhattan and show up big.

As of now, however, the Kansas State Wildcats sit at 5-3 on the year and are 3-2 in conference play. They’re 4-0 at home, which could be something to look at as they welcome in a tough conference foe this upcoming weekend.

Show up big on Saturday, K-State fans. Your team is going to need it.
