K-State Football: Good, Bad, Ugly Vs Iowa State Cyclones
Good: Overall Offense
With a nice combination of running the ball and throwing the ball, this was a good performance for the K-State offense. Ertz looked as comfortable as fans have seen him so far this season and the run game was great as well.
After Ertz, Justin Silmon had the next most rushing yards with 54 off of nine carries and a touchdown. Alex Barnes also had a nice day running the ball with five carries for 37 yards and a score.
Things can stand to improve for sure, but the stats looked nice at the end of the day.
The receivers also had a nice day and if the Wildcats can continue to go out and perform like they did in Ames, then this could be a dangerous team down the stretch. Deante Burton led the team in receiving yards with 72 yards off of five catches and a trip into the end zone.
Of course, this game wasn’t perfect for K-State’s offense, as they did allow the Cyclones to tackle them in the end zone for a safety in the fourth quarter. Things can stand to improve for sure, but the stats looked nice at the end of the day.
I mentioned Ertz’s stats on the previous slide, but all together the Wildcats rushed the ball 43 times for 247 yards and three scores.
Let’s keep grinding, boys.
