K-State football traveled to face the Iowa State Cyclones on their home turf this Saturday and took a ninth straight victory against the Cyclones. What was good, what was bad, and what was ugly in this game?

Well, that was… eventful.

In a game where the Kansas State Wildcats should have kicked butt and took names against a WEAK Iowa State team, this game was never a “sit back and relax” kind of game. At least not for Kansas State fans, that is.

The Wildcats have been bad on the road all season long, going 0-3 before this game. Playing on the road in front of a crazy Homecoming crowd in Ames probably wasn’t K-State’s idea of a good time.

As we all know though, the most important part of each and every football game is the final score. K-State football walked away with a 31-26 victory, their first road win of the year. They’re now 5-3 on the season.

They played well in the first half, both offensively and defensively. Jesse Ertz and the offense put up 17 points in the first half and the defense held the Cyclones to only three points.

The second half was when things got a little too close for comfort though, but yet again, K-State football kept their cool and came away with the victory.

So, let’s take a look at what was good, what was bad, and what was just plain ugly in this game.
