Fantasy Football: Five Kansas City Chiefs To Play Vs Colts
By Ben Almquist
Spencer Ware – RB
Projection: 18 Carries for 90+ yards and 1 TD, 2 Catches for 40 yards
Fantasy Football rosters can live and die by their running backs, and the Kansas City Chiefs have a good one. Oh…no, not THAT one, I meant Spencer Ware. The fourth year man from LSU has been lighting it up for the Chiefs this year. Ware is currently on pace for over 2000 all purpose yards. A temporary solution has now become a premier option for fantasy owners.
In case you missed it, the Indianapolis Colts defense is bad. Currently, the Colts are allowing over 100 yards and 1 TD on the ground per game. That’s terrible. Meanwhile, Spencer Ware has been running so well that the Chiefs are apparently in no hurry to get Jamaal Charles back on the field. Charles was actually limited last week because Ware was playing well.
If you own Spencer Ware in your fantasy league, DO NOT give into the temptation of trading him. All of a sudden it seems that Ware may actually keep the starting job for the rest of the year. If you’re a DFS player, this is a great week to use Ware as the Colts defense is pretty much just hypothetical.
