KU Basketball: Five Bold Prediction for Jayhawks This Season

KU Basketball Bold Predictions Number Two: The Final Four
The Kansas Jayhawks will make it to the Final Four in Phoenix!
This isn’t as easy or clear cut prediction as it may seem. As good as Bill Self has been as a head coach wherever he’s been, he has only made it to two Final Fours.
Despite all the wins (385 at Kansas, 592 overall) and conference championships (12 at Kansas, 16 overall), despite all the accolades he has received (twice AP National Coach of the Year), he has made to the Final Four just twice.
Until Self can get over this hump and make it to the Final Four in seasons when Kansas is a legitimate candidate, this failing will haunt him.
The Kansas Jayhawks will make it to the Final Four in Phoenix!
He needs to produce Final Fours like Roy Williams, Mike Krzyzewski, John Calipari, and Tom Izzo.
There is no doubt how successful Self has been at winning ballgames and conference titles, but he needs more Final Fours on his resume.
This will be a team that he can take to the Final Four, and he will. He has veteran leadership in his starting lineup. He has athleticism up and down his roster, and he has a streamlined roster of ten players to keep him focused on what everyone’s role will be.
Barring injuries or something catastrophic, this team is good enough to make it all the way. Considering Self’s history, this prediction is more difficult than it looks!
