Linebackers

No, Justin Houston is not coming back yet, but hey! Dee Ford did something last week! Maybe he’s finally coming into his own, but I’m not going to hold my breath on that one.

The Saints have Dannell Ellerbe, Stephone Anthony, and a struggling James Laurinaitis as their starting linebackers. The Chiefs got hit hard when Justin March-Lillard hit the injured reserve, but hopefully someone like Ramik Wilson or one of the “next guys up” can step in and lend a hand.

With the Saints defense being so bad, I’m going to give Kansas City the edge here. The linebackers for New Orleans haven’t been very good at tackling or stopping the run. The Chiefs have gotten burned in the run game from time to time, but not nearly as bad as New Orleans has.

This isn’t a great unit for either team, especially without Justin Houston in the fold for Kansas City, but I’m still giving them the edge.

Maybe Dee Ford will have multiple sacks yet again.

Advantage: Kansas City
