Defensive Line

Last week I was pretty hard on the Kansas City Chiefs defense and gave the Raiders the edge in every defensive match-up. Obviously that backfired on me, but in a good way, as the Chiefs offense took complete control of the Oakland defense.

The Chiefs talent along the line certainly has more to prove and I predict they’ll have a big game against this good Saints offensive line.

This week, the Chiefs have the better defense in every area. It might sound mean, but a high school team could probably score a few touchdowns on the Saints defense. They’re that bad.

The defensive line for the Saints hasn’t been all that productive. They’re tied for 25th with total sacks, but that’s one of the areas that New Orleans’ defense is better than KC’s, as the Chiefs are second to last in sacks.

New Orleans has Paul Kruger, Tyeler Davison, Nick Fairley, and Cameron Jordan along their 4-3 defensive line while the Chiefs have Jaye Howard, Dontari Poe, and now likely rookie Chris Jones. Jones will be filling in for an injured Allen Bailey, who went on the injured reserve earlier this week.

While the Saints have more sacks than Kansas City, they only have two more. The Chiefs talent along the line certainly has more to prove and I predict they’ll have a big game against this good Saints offensive line.

Advantage: Kansas City
