South Carolina Gamecocks

The Missouri Tigers will continue on their quest to the postseason via Columiba, South Carolina.  There they will face the 2-4 South Carolina Gamecocks in their only road contest of this four game stretch.  The Gamecocks present a much different test for the Tigers as they are a stout defense.  South Carolina has yet to surrender more than 28 points in a game, despite having played two top-25 offenses.

The strength of the Mizzou squad is its offense, so seeing a defense that has been stingy on surrendering points is not a good thing.  Especially when it has been stingy against some top tier teams.  Points will come at a premium in this match up.

Fortunately for the Tigers, the Gamecocks don’t have much of an offense.  The Gamecocks have scored 20 points just once this season.  Carolina has some young talent on their roster, but nobody that has stepped up as any kind of a consistent threat.  However, the Tigers haven’t won a road game since November of 2014 against Tennessee.  Not good.

The Tigers are not a good team, and they don’t win on the road.  This could be the worst college football game of the year, and I see Mizzou on the wrong side of it.  Mizzou Loses: 23-21
