With the 2016 MLB playoffs underway and the Kansas City Royals not apart of said playoffs, it’s time to look back at the 2016 season and what went right for the Royals.

It’s tough to follow up on a World Series winning season with anything other than disappointment. That was the KC Royals‘ 2016 season in a nutshell: Disappointment followed by more disappointment.

The team finished 81-81 and missed the playoffs by a wide margin. A horrendous July, which saw them winning only seven games in the entire month, was what proved to be the culprit of the boys in blue not going all in for the repeat in 2016.

The 2016 season was a humbling one for Royals fans, especially the ones who just jumped on the bandwagon in 2014 during the postseason. This team has its faults and they’re not going to win the World Series every year for the rest of time. It’s TOUGH to make it to the playoffs in Major League Baseball.

With that said, however, there was some good to come out of the 2016 season, and that’s what I’m here to remind everybody of.

Let’s remedy on the season that was and what good came out of it. Click the button below or scroll down to begin reminiscing on “What Went Right” for the Kansas City Royals this season.
