Bad: Settling for field goals

I would put this in the ugly category, but hey… Points were still being recorded, so it’s hard to be SUPER mad.

Reid needs to stop getting cute in the red zone.

The Chiefs got into the red zone six times in this game and went three-for-six. It was nice to see the Chiefs punch the football into the end zone three times in a row, but after that, they struggled to get touchdowns.

Cairo Santos knocked in two field goals to help the Chiefs out with their offensive “woes”, but this is something that the team will need to work on. On the red zone drive that ended with a Dontari Poe touchdown (you read that right), Andy Reid tried to get cute even before then, having Jeremy Maclin take the ball and attempt to throw it. He ended up just throwing it away.

Reid needs to stop getting cute in the red zone. Yes, the Poe touchdown was awesome, but had it not worked, you know everyone would have been calling for Reid to be fired or something else ridiculously out of line.

Stick to what works, Andy. Run the football please.
