Good: Defense forcing turnovers

All season long, we heard how the Raiders were good at not turning over the football and how Derek Carr was on his way to becoming an elite quarterback and blah blah blah.

That fumble pretty much put the game away for the Chiefs and they felt pretty comfortable afterwards.

Well, the Chiefs defense actually kept the Raiders offense, which had been thriving in the past few weeks, in check. Amari Cooper had a big first half (more on that later), but the Chiefs defense was able to create turnovers and put their team in great position to win.

Marcus Peters picked off Carr, which ended up leading to a Chiefs touchdown.

In the fourth quarter, Dee Ford ripped the ball out of Derek Carr’s hands (and sacked him), and Tamba Hali was able to recover it. That fumble pretty much put the game away for the Chiefs and they felt pretty comfortable afterwards.

Getting a team that typically doesn’t turn the ball over to turn the ball over was big, and it led to the Chiefs winning an important game on the road.
