B-. . QB. Kansas State Wildcats. JESSE ERTZ

I haven’t been a huge fan of Jesse Ertz so far this season, but he’s getting better. He really didn’t do much in the passing game against the Red Raiders defense, throwing the ball only 20 times and completing half of those passes.

Ertz has slowly, but surely been coming out of his shell on the gridiron, but he’s still not quite there.

Those ten passes got him over the 100 yard passing mark, but the young quarterback is going to eventually need to learn how to excel in the passing game.

Where Ertz really impressed on Saturday was with his legs.

Ertz took the ball on ten carries (as many passes as he completed – Sorry, I had to) for a whopping 83 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 8.1 yards a carry and a lot of his carries were for first downs.

Ertz has slowly, but surely been coming out of his shell on the gridiron, but he’s still not quite there. His running game saved him from getting a much lower grade this week.
