K-State Football: Report Card Vs Texas Tech Red Raiders
Before I tell you anything else, let me tell you something big in this game. The K-State defense allowed Texas Tech to put up 592 total yards of offense. I repeat: TEXAS TECH HAD 592 TOTAL YARDS ON OFFENSE.
With an offense like Texas Tech’s, most teams would already be out of it after one half, but K-State’s defense got better as the game went on.
This K-State defense has been clutch this season, but this game wasn’t their best moment. I’m giving them a C- on the day because they managed to “quiet” Patrick Mahomes in the second half of the game.
They also held the Red Raiders to only ten points in the second half, which was impressive, considering Texas Tech ran all over them in the first half. KSU’s defense could not get off the field on third downs in the first half either, which was concerning.
With an offense like Texas Tech’s, most teams would already be out of it after one half, but K-State’s defense got better as the game went on. It was a nice sight to see.
