Best Moments of the 2016 Season – Number 4: All We Do is Win, Win, Win No Matter What

The Kansas City Royals were destined for a poor season after only winning seven games total in the month of July.

Two weeks into August, however, the team began to show signs of life. On August 14th, the KC Royals defeated the Twins in what would begin a nine-game win streak for the boys in blue. That game was an 11-4 victory for the Royals.

The Royals then went on to sweep the Tigers in Detroit and the Twins at the K to bring the streak to eight games. After a victory in Miami against the Marlins, it seemed like the Royals were back in playoff contention.

August was a good month for Kansas City, as they not only won nine straight games, but won 13 of 15 games at one point. They had positioned themselves to be very much in the Wild Card hunt, but we all know that didn’t end up panning out.

Still, the win streak was a lot of fun. It reminded fans of the last two seasons with all of the action and big wins. Too bad it didn’t turn into something more special, but at least we’ll always have 2014 and 2015.
