Can The Mizzou Offense Keep It’s Pace?

Over the past few weeks, the Missouri Tigers have been putting up quite a few points.  Of course, that has largely been against Eastern Michigan and Delaware State, but Mizzou also scored 27 against Georgia.  That is a good sign for the Tigers offense, but they need to keep that going.

LSU has a quality defense that is capable of smothering most offensive attacks.  The Tigers of Baton Rouge are currently 21st in the FBS in points allowed per game.  Mizzou will need to be well-balanced and aggressive.  Quarterback Drew Lock, who has been having a strong season, is getting a big time test in prime time.

Obviously this isn’t likely to be a high-scoring game.  That makes every point Missouri can get important.  They cannot afford to trade field goals for touchdowns.  With the strength of the LSU defense, there just will not be a lot of scoring opportunities.  Mizzou has to make the most of the ones they get.
