Dezman Moses

The Kansas City Chiefs added Dezman Moses to their roster in 2013.  The young journeyman was re-signed this season after an unsuccessful stint in the Free Agency market.  Moses flashed talent in the preseason, and once had a four sack season for the Packers.  This has gotten some fans talking about getting him some snaps.

Dezman Moses is similar to Frank Zombo in a lot of ways.  He is a reliable depth and Special Teams player, but doesn’t offer very much on an every down basis.  Moses could have some success as a third down pass rusher, but that would be the extent of my expectations.

A player like Dezman Moses is on the depth chart because that’s where the team needs him.  He can come in and play some relief, but most of his responsibilities will be on Special Teams.  Guys like this just have a limited value in the NFL.  Moses is great to have on the roster, but he is replaceable.  That doesn’t speak well to his ability to handle full-time responsibilities.
