Tamba Hali

The Kansas City Chiefs have a long history of quality pass rushers, and Tamba Hali is among the best.  Hali began the 2016 season still trying to get healthy.  Over the first three weeks of the season, he has slowly started taking on more and more of a work load.  Can he be the pass rush element the Chiefs are missing?

So far in his limited snaps, Tamba Hali has managed to generate some pressure.  Hali managed to sack Brock Osweiler last week in Houston.  However, he was unable to be much of a factor at all against the Jets.  Unfortunately, that may be indicative of what Chiefs fans should expect this year.  Simply put, age and heavy use appears to have finally caught up to Tamba Hali.

The veteran pass rusher still has some value in limited pass rushing situations.  However, I question his ability to put in a full day of work on the outside.  At this point in his career, Hali is probably best served as a situational pass rusher.  Unfortunately, that doesn’t help the Chiefs in most situations.
