Brett Anderson

Brett Anderson is an intriguing name on the market. On the one hand, he’s been fantastic when he’s healthy, but that’s a big “when”. The guy can’t seem to STAY healthy.

His 2016 season is a big indicator of that, as the guy only started in two games before being put on the disabled list. Anderson will be returning to the Dodgers this week to help them make a NL West pennant run.

In his two starts this season, Brett Anderson wound up with a 24.75 ERA in only four innings. Not exactly the type of work you want to see from your starter.

With those injuries, however, Anderson will likely be seeking less of a big deal. He’s the type of guy the Royals have gone after over the past few seasons and with an career ERA of 3.85, he could fit nicely into this Kansas City rotation.

The scariest part about him though is his injury history. The Royals had enough of that in 2016 and bringing on an injury prone pitcher could be a bad idea.
