Will Charles Make His Season Debut?

The Kansas City Chiefs and Chiefs Kingdom eagerly await to see if Jamaal Charles returns this week. When healthy, Charles can dominate a game and even the league when given a chance. Charles leads the NFL in all-time yards per rush (5.5) with 1,000 or more attempts. Here’s a chart to put the stat in perspective.

Charles beat out two Hall of Fame running backs, Jim Brown and Barry Sanders. Now that’s insanity. He will add another dimension to the Kansas City Chiefs offense that looks sickly the first couple of weeks into the 2016 season.

The KC Chiefs put together one great quarter of offense through the first eight quarters of the season. The Chiefs feel asleep against the Texans on the road last week, managing only 12-points and zero touchdowns against Houston.

Jamaal Charles will help the offense be more dynamic by his presence on the field alone. The Jets defense must respect the man with over five yards per carry, leaving other guys unattended to on offense. This could open the door for more points for the Kansas City Chiefs offense.

Another area the Chiefs could use Charles is in the passing game. Kansas City could use Charles as a slot receiver. Albert Wilson hasn’t impressed this season at slot receiver. Charles could take his place and do well.

We should know more on Charles’ health as we get closer to game time on Sunday. Monitor the status of his health closely on Twitter.
