The Kansas City Chiefs may be in perfect position to take advantage of the Indianapolis Colts front office.  I’ve never made any secret of my contempt for the Colts front office.  That is a poorly run franchise, and that is perfect for the Chiefs.  What is really great though is that the timing works out perfectly for the Chiefs.

The big problem in Indy is that Frank Gore is looking his age.  At 33 years old, and a decade of heavy use, Gore seems like he is running out of steam.  With an awful offensive line, the Colts need some extra life in the running game to take pressure off of quarterback Andrew Luck.  Knile Davis has little wear and tear on him and offers home run ability.  GM Ryan Grigson will love that.

As for the timing I mentioned, the NFL trade deadline is November 1st, the day after the Chiefs play the Colts.  That lines up perfectly for the Chiefs, especially if the Colts manage a few wins before the two teams face off.  The Colts could find themselves in a position where they believe an added weapon will help them make a playoff push.
