Closing Thoughts: Don’t Lose Faith In Mizzou

I’ll be the first one to admit this, I was livid at the Missouri Tigers for blowing this home game against a good Georgia Bulldogs team. The way the Tigers failed got underneath my skin. Yet Tigers fans shouldn’t be too unhappy.

This team is far better than last years debacle of a team. There is a lot of talent on this team and the majority of the squad is young. Drew Lock is a sophomore, he will have his ups and downs.

Last season, Lock got thrown into the fire so we saw plenty of downs. This season he’s been great for the most part. Moore and the other Mizzou wideouts look quick and coachable. This team has a chance to make a bowl game this season.

The Missouri Tigers should use the remaining games to get better as a team. This loss will test the resilience of the Missouri Tigers moving forward. I don’t expect a team coached by a Gary Pinkel disciple in Barry Odom to give up and quit due to one tough loss.

The Mizzou Tigers will mature over the course of this season and will be a force to be reckoned with come this time next year. I believe the Missouri Tigers will finish in the top 25 in the nation next year. That could be a bold prediction but I like what I’m seeing from Drew Lock for the most part and the offense and defense as a whole. The kicking game should improve moving forward as well.
