The Kansas City Chiefs lost the first regular season game in 11 tries on Sunday at the Houston Texans by the final score of 12 to 19. There were a few good, bad and ugly moments in the close road loss.

The KC Chiefs went to Houston looking to continue the offensive outburst the team displayed late in the San Diego Chargers game the week prior. Unfortunately, the Chiefs didn’t bring the offense with them to Texas.

Alex Smith struggled the entire game and Spencer Ware couldn’t get much room as a pure rusher due to the Texans tough defensive line. The offensive line for the Chiefs was missing a couple of starting linemen and it showed on Sunday afternoon at NGR Stadium.

It’s amazing the Kansas City Chiefs only lost by one possession in the game. Kansas City gifted a few too many turnovers to the Texans but Houston couldn’t take advantage of most of the gifts keeping Kansas City in the game.

Let’s take a closer look at what took place in Houston Sunday afternoon and dive into the good, bad and the ugly moments in the seven-point loss to the Texans.
