Offensive Line

This week will see the KC Chiefs not having either of their starting offensive guards, paving way for Zach Fulton and Jah Reid to make their starting debuts this season. This could pose a problem for the Chiefs, as the Texans have a downright nasty defensive line.

KC’s offensive line started off shaky last week, and allowed Alex Smith to get sacked three times. They eventually started working together better, but they’re really going to have to limit their mistakes early in this one.

The Texans’ most notable names along the line are Duane Brown and former Chief Jeff Allen. Brown will not be playing though, which is a good thing for KC. They’ll need all the help they can get when plowing through that line. Eric Fisher, Zach Fulton, Mitch Morse, Jah Red, and Mitchell Schwartz will be the starters for Kansas City.

Fulton is a nice swing guy along the line, but his best position is at center, and that’s not a need for the team right now (Morse is clearly the better option there). Hopefully he plays well at guard, but either way, Houston has the better offensive line in this one.

Injuries definitely came into play when deciding this one.
