Running Back

Spencer Ware or Lamar Miller?

With Jamaal Charles out again in week two, Spencer Ware will get the nod to start against the Texans. Ware went nuts last week, racking up nearly 200 yards of total offense, and making fans wonder who Jamaal Charles is.

Miller had a nice debut in Houston, but don’t let that one performance fool you. He didn’t make it into the end zone, and only has 19 rushing touchdowns in four seasons.

Houston has Lamar Miller as their starting running back, who was a free agent acquisition this offseason. Miller wasn’t the playmaker that Miami hoped he’d be, but the former Dolphin had a nice first game with his new team. He rushed for over 100 yards and my fantasy team thanks him for that.

Honestly, this is a tough choice. Ware had a nice game last week, but a lot of his damage came through the air. The run game wasn’t as existent last week, so hopefully Ware can get going this week.

Miller had a nice debut in Houston, but don’t let that one performance fool you. He didn’t make it into the end zone, and only has 19 rushing touchdowns in four seasons. Jamaal Charles had 12 in 2013… I know different running backs, but just trying to prove a point here.

I’m going with Spencer Ware as the more effective back in this game because he was a monster last week. If he can get it going in the run game and in the receiving game, then dear lord, Houston will have a problem (yes, I did that on purpose).

Advantage: Kansas City
