A Confident Drew Lock

Missouri Tigers sophomore quarterback, Drew Lock, gained a lot of confidence in himself and his abilities as a quarterback last weekend against Eastern Michigan. Lock passed for 450 yards and five passing touchdowns. He looked great throwing all the passes. He will need another solid performance for the Tigers this weekend to get a win against Georgia.

Lock looked comfortable throwing the ball deep against the Eagles last weekend. Here’s an amazing stat to think about before and during the game against Georgia.

Even Georgia’s head coach, Kirby Smart, is impressed how far Lock has come in the span of a year, especially on his deep passing ability.

I don’t think Lock will be able to duplicate his success against Georgia like he did against the Eagles. However, I do think he will succeed. He’s got fast wide receivers with reliable hands to throw the ball to. He trusts his receivers to make the plays. Since he trusts his receivers, he will let the ball loose with little fear of an interception.

Wide receivers Chris Black, Jonathan Johnson and Raymond Wingo will need to play well against the ‘dogs for the Missouri Tigers to pull off the upset and give Lock another performance to remember for a lifetime.
