Which defense shows up?

Last Sunday was a tale of two defenses for the Kansas City Chiefs.  In the first half, KC couldn’t stop a nose bleed.  However, the second half was a different story entirely.  Chargers fans will say it was the loss of Keenan Allen that changed everything…but the Chargers still had a lot of guys who had been effective earlier in the game.

The Bills had a pretty decent game on offense against a hapless Bears defense.  However, the Bears are bad, so there isn’t much we can really know from that.  We do know that Houston boasts one of the best wide receivers in the NFL in DeAndre Hopkins.  The Chiefs saw Hopkins twice last year, so they know what to expect.

If the Chiefs can build off of that second half, they should give the Texans a lot of fits.  Kansas City especially needs Dontari Poe and Derrick Johnson to play better than in Week 1.  The Chiefs have to pressure Brock Osweiler, and should have a chance with the Texans being without starting left tackle Duane Brown.  That is the best way for the Chiefs to slow down DeAndre Hopkins and the Texans offense.
