A “New” Alex Smith?

When the Kansas City Chiefs came back to defeat the San Diego Chargers last week, Alex Smith was the star of the show.  Smith played like a man possessed in the 2nd half, making a number of high caliber throws.  He capped it off with a gutsy goal line call where he kept the ball himself to run in the winning touchdown.

The question this week will be whether or not Chiefs fans see the same Alex Smith.  I, for one, am thinking that’s a big “YES”.  I have never seen Alex Smith as pumped up as he was at the end of the game last week.  One has to believe that he wants that to carry over to this game.  The Chiefs would probably also like to see that Alex Smith on the field.

The Texans have a solid defense, but the Chiefs have lit them up before.  Alex Smith knows how to play against this team, and he has the weapons to be effective.  If Smith and the Chiefs offense are clicking on Sunday, this game could get ugly.
