The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a huge comeback victory against the San Diego Chargers.  During the game, there were plenty of overreactions around the internet.

The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off an improbably come from behind victory this Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.    It was a tale of two halves as the Chargers looked to be the much better team in the first half.  That got Chiefs Kingdom fearing the worst, which of course means the internet was humming with “hot takes”.

For those of you who don’t know, a “hot take” is a large generalization or overreaction based on limited information.  Sports are one of the preeminent targets for hot takes, and the NFL especially.  Fans, analysts, and media talking heads can’t wait to weigh in on the big topics.  That, of course, leads to an awful lot of bad opinions being thrown across the internet.

Yes, you see them everywhere.  A big name player signs with a team, and suddenly they are Super Bowl favorites.  A quarterback throws an interception, and now he’s the worst to ever play the game.  Defense gives up a touchdown?  They can’t stop anybody.

Here’s a great example from the King of Hot Takes himself, Skip Bayless…

Well, with the game we had on Sunday, there are no shortage of hot takes involving the Chiefs.  It’s pretty amazing how many people were quick to give up on Kansas City after one bad half of football.  Hey, I’ll admit I was down on the team as well.  I certainly believed the game was over.  However, that wasn’t going to get me to sell on the Chiefs

So let’s take a look at some of the best hot takes from this past Sunday.  I’m not going to embarrass anyone directly.  However, I will be using actual quotes from Twitter regarding the game.  If you recognize your handiwork, or that of someone else, don’t worry the secret is safe with me.  Just remember that I’m watching…
