The Kansas City Chiefs have built much of their success off of a strong defensive front.  If possible, it seems that defensive line has gotten even stronger in 2016.  The drafting of Chris Jones surprised some pundits, but his play in preseason eliminated any critics.  The Chiefs also still have a dominant starting front three in Dontari Poe, Allen Bailey, and Jaye Howard.

Just Too Much Talent:  It’s hard to say the Chiefs decision on the defensive line surprised anyone.  At most, the surprise is that David King went unclaimed on waivers and is now on the Practice Squad.  That is a nice claim for the Chiefs as King showed some ability in preseason.

Deepest Position?:  The Chiefs are incredibly well set up along the defensive front.  Dontari Poe, Allen Bailey, and Jaye Howard can hold their own with anybody.  Added to that is rookie Chris Jones who has gotten snaps with the first team and looked very impressive.  Nick Williams and Rakeem Nunez-Roches have also shown a good deal of talent.  This group is well-built top to bottom.
