Kansas City Chiefs: Breaking Down The 53 Man Roster
By Ben Almquist
Running Back
Jamaal Charles, Charcandrick West, Spencer Ware, Knile Davis, and Anthony Sherman
Cut – Darrin Reaves
Injured Reserve – Trey Millard
One story that followed the Chiefs all offseason was the incredible depth of the running back group. Despite injuries to Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West, the Chiefs have still been able to run at will with their reserves. Spencer Ware, Knile Davis, and Darrin Reaves all showed quality talent.
Chiefs Unable To Work A Trade: It was expected by many that the Chiefs would use one of their talented backs to work a trade. However, that never came to pass this offseason. Instead, the Chiefs are keeping most of their group on the roster with only Darrin Reaves being cut.
Sound Group For Time To Come: There is absolutely no need for the Chiefs to add another running back. Even with Jamaal Charles and Charcandrick West currently on the shelf, the Chiefs still figure to be one of the better running teams in the NFL this year. That is impressive.
