Possible Landing Spots for Aaron Murray – Number 1: Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings suffered a huge setback on Tuesday when starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down with a non-contact injury at practice. Practice was canceled after an ambulance had to take Bridgewater to the hospital.
Many thought [the Vikings would] be right back in the thick of things again this season, but without their star quarterback, that looks bleak.
This is horrible for the former Louisville standout and it sounds like the injury could have been a lot worse and potentially career ending.
With all of this happening, the Vikings need quarterbacks on their roster. Shaun Hill is the slated backup to Bridgewater, and it wouldn’t be too farfetched if Minnesota went after Murray, as Hill is one of the oldest guys in the entire league.
The Vikings went 11-5 last year and won the NFC North. They lost in heartbreaking fashion in the playoffs, but many thought they’d be right back in the thick of things again this season. Without their star quarterback, however, that looks bleak.
This could be a good situation for Murray, as the Vikings have a healthy Adrian Peterson, some good talent in the receiving corp, and a decent defense.
