Possible Landing Spots for Aaron Murray – Number 4: Chicago Bears

I wouldn’t have included Da Bears on here, but Connor Shaw was injured in a preseason game against the Chiefs and will miss the entire 2016 season as a result.

The Bears have Jay Cutler as a starter, but he’s Jay Cutler. He gets injured a lot, and the Bears will need a reliable backup. Their only option now that Shaw is out for the year is Brian Hoyer, who is… not good. That’s being polite too.

Hoyer looked dreadful against the Chiefs twice last season and looked horrendous in preseason action this past weekend. If Cutler goes down and Hoyer has to come in for Chicago, their season will go down the toilet in no time.

I’m not saying Aaron Murray is the answer for the Bears, but he honestly is probably a better option than Brian Hoyer. By this point, everyone knows what Brian Hoyer is. We don’t know for sure what Aaron Murray is just yet.

I don’t see Murray to Chicago happening, as Hoyer is a veteran and Murray has yet to take a regular season snap. It’s not as farfetched as the Broncos scenario though.
